  • I did NOT set up a loan - the payment rejected so I closed the internet and left it. I have not agreed to any loan - if a message states payment declined then it shouldn't be authorised

i didnt authorise it a message popped up saying payment declined!!!!

You would have agreed to the T&Cs prior to them attempting to take payment, that would have been the authorisation.

When they then tried to take the payment and it was declined, that didn't mean the money was not due, just that they had been unable to take payment. They have then obviously tried to take the payment at a later date and been successful.

The fee is not to set up a loan, it is a fee for an loan broker service where they try to find you a loan. As per their website
The fee is simply for the administration work we do in finding you a lender and processing your details.

If they didn't or if you no longer want the service then you can write to ask for a refund.
