That's why you buy now - if that's the aim.

I'm not ashamed to say I'm in this one for the short term.

Got till Thursday haven't we? I've got some money in my trading account. Was going to hang on and read what I can between now and then.
  • Yep Thursday.

Note that the minimum is a grand though.

I've used X-O who have said if the complete funds aren't there - they may not complete purchase.
  • So Merlin bringing forward the deadline to apply, is that due to some kind of operational issue potentially due to high demand or an investor relations stunt to drum up more interest?

Anyone heard of this happening before, and what happened immediately after the float?
  • I'd recommend you make a decision based on the conviction of your research and not the noise on internet forums or second guessing what's going on.

Problem is 'your research' for the average private investor is based on very little historical data and very little time (even if you dedicate days to it).

The mighty institutions will have access to far more data, take far more time, and will have direct access to the board, clients and suppliers.

So for me the second guessing what these people think and what their actions maybe is very important.

Agreed the forum attracts some inane posts but for the most part these are easy to ignore. But there are also some very knowleagable contributors here.

Each to their own of course :)
I believe past performance is a good guide to future performance
  • Is any one going for this as a quick sell? It seems to have gone very quiet.

Think it has all been said. Looks like it will be top end price. Whether they will release the reserve shares will be interesting.

Another observation I took note of is the offer of shares made to their long term employees. Looks like a company that values their workforce.

But all you can do now is wait and get on with researching other companies including Infinis if you are into IPOs. Oddly I started at an early stage thinking Infinis was the better bet of the two but after researching I'm about face :D

I have cash sat waiting on the sidelines for an opportunity to invest on a dip so I have decided that I may as well try to make that cash work for me for a few days. If I can clear 10% profit after charges it will have been a worthwhile effort

I am in for the short term . However prepared to hold if it drops. There may be an upside as institutions are going for it and IPO is closing early.
    Tomorrow is D Day.

There's a few hundred pages of prospectus to wade through. I started to read through it ........................
