I don't see a photographer on your list. Is that correct?
Also why are you getting a band and a DJ?
When you say 2 location do you mean ceremony at church then reception elsewhere? Or do you mean you are doing it twice (which would explain the DJ & band).0 -

Are you doing any favours for the tables, or gifts for any of the attendants? Not saying you should be, but if it's something you'd like to do it needs to be factored in.
Even though you're camera shy, do try not to worry about people taking pics, do encourage it. Yeah there'll be some awful ones, but there'll also be some unexpected beautiful ones.0 -
In the end, it all comes down to whether you have the money for it in the first place or whether you will be borrowing.
My husband and I agreed that we didn't want to compromise on the overall outlook of our wedding, ie. we wanted a nice hotel offering quality food and being able to invite as many people as possible, however, we felt that there were a lot of saving that could be made with the rest. I bought my dress online for £100 and I could have asked for anything nicer. I had so many compliment, it was a beautiful dress and everyone assumed expensive. My hubby hired his suit as he wasn't bothered. Cake, I bought the M&S cakes, but then made all the decorations. I researched and researched and learnt how to do it. Again, it was a complete success for £100. Same things with flowers. Hotel said they would have flowers on tables. For the bouquet, I went and bought two £10 bouquets from tesco, and my mum rearranged them adding flowers from our garden and they looked like professional ones. She followed a u-tube video showing how to assemble them and frankly, it wasn't difficult at all. Same with invites, I had friends giving me copies of their own invites, I looked online and in the end, I surprised myself seeing I was much more creative than I ever thought I was. I did the same with favours.
In the end, our wedding cost under £5000, but I don't think looked any different to a £10K wedding. It really hit us most after the wedding was gone. After months of excitement and planning and then having to get back to normal life, it was a real relief that we had been able to pay it all upfront and not find ourselves in any debts.
However, if we had a huge lump of money saved, or family had offered funds, I would probably have felt a little less compelled to cut down costs are much as possible.0 -
One thing I can guarantee, is that there will be little things you haven't thought of, which will take your budget over 10k. Look for ways to buy things cheaper (e.g. bridesmaid dresses - ours were £60 for all of them from ebay) to try and absorb the extras.
Also - Congratulations!0 -

We scrimped on having a decent photographer and regretted it as we now have some pretty awful pictures to remember our wedding.Nothing to see here, move along.0
