Which Tablet?

Hi all,
I know there are lots of threads on tablets, and probably more to come in the run up to Christmas! It seems that there are a number of tablets coming down in price and just wondered which is best.
Initially I was thinking the Kindle Fire and see that Currys have an offer on this. I have also seen that the Galaxy 2 has come down in price. The other option was the Hudl which seems good value.
Any recommendations out of the 3?
Thanks

Tesco with best spec, apart from don't has IPS screen
Kindle has restricted access. Out of consideration IMO.
Galaxy tab 2 only has dual core processor...
Within that price range, asus memo pad HD7 worth have a look. lower screen resolution than tesco hudl, but it is IPS0 -
I'm interested in this thread. I want to buy a tablet for my husband for Christmas and haven't a clue which one is best.
All he would really need it for is games and maybe watching a movie on a plane, that sort of thing.
Any advice much appreciated!0 -
I have worked with a bunch of different devices (I'm a Software QA Engineer) and still favour the Nexus 7. The Galaxy Tab 2 is alright, and I wouldn't bother with the Kindle Fire to be honest. I'm still waiting for my Hudl to arrive so the jury's out on that. I've heard it's similar to the Nexus so will wait and see.0

Depends what you want a tablet for eg what tasks ?
How much your wanting to spend ?0 -
Kindle Fire locks you into the Amazon ecosystem, you can only install apps found on the Amazon App Store whereas the other 2 have access to Google Play so you can install most of the apps on there.0

Anybody can advise on the Tesco Hudl or the ASUS MeMO Pad HD 7” Tablet - 16 GB in currys.
With the discount code around, they are about the same price £116 and £119... I don't have Tesco vouchers..
Both are good reviews but i'm leaning towards the ASUS because of the long battery life..
