Loopylass - I got my elf from tesco last year. his name was chilly and he wasnt expensive. I went back mid december and picked up the girl version to accompany him this year.
I must say since I started, I've kept an eye out for anything 'Elf' that I could use and haven't seen much at all.
The originals on Amazon are £20+ but I suppose it gets used every year so if you get one while your children are young you will get your moneys worth. Ebay may have some?

Or at least some good ideas for your elves0 -
The dinosaurs are fab MaggieBaking but I think a little extreme lol. Can't believe they spray painted the lounge :hello:0

If you're going to commit you have to make it believable!! What child would think you spray painted your own lounge???
Or maybe, a watered down version with washable felt tip on the fridge or something0 -
I'm in total disbelief!! I was having a nosey through ebay, just to see if any of those wee Peppermint elves came back into stock anywhere and came across a listing for the exact same elf I have now, that I bought and stuffed, and posted a picture of on here last month! and it cost me £2!!!!
Someone has done the exact same thing, but selling it for £16 over on Ebay. That's a disgrace. Talk about taking the magic and excitement away from Christmas and looking for money!
Just want to warn others on here about this if they think about buying it! Please don't. You can buy the PUPPET for £2 in the Card Factory stores all over the UK and N.Ireland. Stuff it using the stuffing from an old pillow/cushion/cuddly toy and sew along it's bottom. It takes all of 5 minutes to stuff it, and 5 minutes to sew.Pay all debt off by Christmas 2025 £815.45/£3,000£1 a day challenge 2025 - £180/£730 Declutter a bag a week in 2025 11/52Lose 25lb - 10/25lbs Read 1 book per week - 5/52Pay off credit card debt 18%/100%0 -

We have had Emily elf for 4 years so are running out of ideas as DS gets upset if there isn't a trick every night! My faves were redecorating the Xmas tree with DS's underpants, wrapping the door to his room in Xmas paper so when he opened the door, he had to bust his way through and going mental with toilet paper streamers. This years plans are:
- Hot air balloon with underpants basket
- Magic elf seeds that grow into choco trees
- Xmas wrap the loo
- Replace family photos with Emily pics
- Been shopping in car – sitting on driving seat on cushions, shopping in back and Macdonald wrappers all over the car
- Make Welsh cakes and leave the kitchen in a mess
- Paint dad’s nails when sleeping
- Draw moustache on child when sleeping
- Gravel in cereal box
- Hanging from basketball hoop
- Sailing on pond
- In dishwasher having a bath (showercap)
- Broken eggs in front of fridge

Someone on facebook has put a picture up of the elf with a crayon in its hands and had drawn glasses and a mustache on a framed picture with it, I thought it was very funny.
I wish mine were little so i could do the naughty elf.0
