No don't wait for a reply from them, send in the appeal to parking eye, attach a photocopy of your receipts if you have them

No stupidly being a student i never keep my receipts ive also checked my bank statement nd theres nothing on there so i must have payed with cash.

What do i outline in my appeal as my key points other than the fee is unjustified?

You didn't see the signage, no grace period to leave, not genuine pre estimate of loss, so a penalty. They don't have a contract to pursue drivers or issue these invoices. And so on
When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Don't go over the top though as I would expect the soft appeal to be turned down. Just put in the usual stuff as mentioned above with a bit of embellishment so they know you're not just a numpty who doesn't know what he;s on about. And wait for rejection and then your POPLA code.

P.S. CouponMadd to people browsing the forums the Martin Lewis quote on your profile can look a little deceptive!

Good point, I had been meaning to update my signature anyway! :T
Make sure your online appeal doesn't state who was driving, and make sure you appeal BOTH tickets. You should then get 2 POPLA codes unless Aldi cancel this for you sooner. Have you seen this thread, running continuously since June?!

Give Aldi Hell and name and shame the store on facebook too, for not helping a genuine customer (registered keeper of course, not driver) faced with fake PCN rubbish! Ask Aldi on facebook, who is more important to them, their customers or Parking Eye?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I did both of which and have just recieved POPLA documents for the first case, not yet the second! I posted on there facebook page and caused quite a stir and was provided with a number to ring but they just said as it was in a retail park not one of there car parks that if i go into the store and tell them what i bought they should be able to find it on the register... I don't even have a foggy what i bought in the last week let alone a month ago!!

The POPLA documents came with a scare sheet about Pre estimate of loss and commercial justification, is this normal?

Yes, they seem to be adding this more and more recently - it's just scare tactics, best to ignore it.

  • I also have taken pictures of the entrance for the second appeal am i right to submit them? As you enter the retail park there is only a small sign on the left above eye level which you can see until driving around the car park

Should i post them on here?

You mean "which you can't see until driving around the car park"?

Yes sorry which you cannot see until you've actually drove down the car park, there is also a disabled bay parked right in front of it so in the event a car parks in front of it, the sign is rendered useless.
  • For benefit of the forum, I paid the one i actually thought was my fault, the other was overturned by POPLA after Parking Eye failed to give any Evidence! Would you like my email?
