All banks claim that their customers will never lose out if they are victims of fraud. We all know that this does not always apply. Have any of you suffered from bank fraud, and had your bank refuse to reimburse you? Did you fight them? How did you get on? I am asking because I am in the middle of a struggle with my bank, and I'm looking out for ideas. Thanks.

Why not state what happened and explain why the bank have said they won't reimburse.
You might get some more specific help that way.0 -

If this relates to your other posts then you were not a victim of fraud, you were a victim of your own mistake - setting up a large transfer, without checking it with a smaller payment first. Had you done that then you wouldn't have sent £25k to the wrong account.0 -
We have scarcely any facts from Bankers_bane about the struggle they are having with their bank, and what the alleged fraud is about.
It can't really have to do with their other post, because sending someone £25K can't really be classed as fraud (unless the sender is a money launderer...but then they wouldn't post about it on a public forum, would they. Except perhaps if they have applied for a Darwin Award).

I recently transferred £25k into an account that was not registered with Santander. They did not question it. Unfortunately I made an error with the account number, and that money is now lost. They quote £100k as the limit, because that is the limit in the Faster Payments system.
So can we have some more details please, Bankers_bane?0
