transfer warranty for iphone.

hi,

I have an iphone which I am thinking off selling on ebay. I have had it for 6 months. is it still covered by the remaing 6 months and can the warranty be transferred to the buyer?

I believe that the iPhone can be removed from your iTunes account and taken off your Apple support account and the new buyer will be able to register it on both.

I have just updated mine and removed my old iPhone 4s and iPad 3 that I had from my last employers and added the new ones.

I've bought a couple of s/h "i" devices that needed attention, never had an issue with Apple. One of them was even bought originally outside the UK.

AFAIK, the warranty is linked to the iPhone's serial number which means the warranty stays with the phone, not the owner.
