Sending a music track from PC to a mobile phone

Is there any way to send a music track from PC to a mobile phone i.e to use as a ring tone i don't have any cables is it possable to do it over the net.

Depends on the phone you have. I've only used Sony Ericssons for this and they all come with a USB data cable and a program called "Disc2Phone" which copys from PC to mobile... it also coverts wma/ogg files to mp3 and to a set bitrate.
Alternative is bluetooth - which I find slower but it does the job.Faith is believing what you know ain't so...0 -

I've got a SE too, but got completely fed up with the provided software, so I just bought myself a nice big memory card, I shove that in the card reader on the PC and away we go...0

But how does having a big memory card have anything to do with their software? it still means you cant compose a text message no matter how big the card is, you want the software I posted above.0 -

...a memory card means I don't need to use the software provided (disc2phone) to copy music to my phone...which is what the OP was asking about...what does composing text messages have to do with anything?0 -
