Is it just me or are others experiencing really poor service. No bill since June and £840 credit sitting which I cannot get refunded. 2 online posts, 2 telephone calls and one formal complaint later I am still no further forward. So is it just me or are npower just rubbish ?!!

No it's not just you, they've taken ineptitude to stratospheric heights.
Looking up the word "incompetent" in a modern Thesaurus you will find the word "NPower".
Look up the entry for "NPower" and you will find the expression "Mickey Mouse".

They must be one of the only businesses I know where you have to beg them for a bill.Iainmaclean1965 wrote: »Is it just me or are others experiencing really poor service. How are they still trading?
Oh I remember now, draconian pricing policies for the remaining customers.0 -
I had a horrible experience with them a year ago, which lasted for months.
It's all very well being told to 'switch' to get a cheaper deal by all and sundry, but I would now choose a company to switch to very carefully – I certainly wouldn't change to another company until I'd read reviews of their services. There are some really poorly rated companies out there, and it is simply not worth the hassle to switch to them.0 -
Gulp! And I'm in the process of switching from BG to nPower. Never occurred to me that this kind of incompetence would be demonstrated. Oh well. Too late to back out now. Maybe I'll get lucky!0

Don't worry you'll receive free energy for at least a year.StinkerPinker wrote: »Gulp! And I'm in the process of switching from BG to nPower. Never occurred to me that this kind of incompetence would be demonstrated. Oh well. Too late to back out now. Maybe I'll get lucky!
Park some money in an account somewhere for when they realise their errors.0 -

Same here, switched a couple of weeks ago to a fixed rate prior to the price hike, but my welcome letter quotes a higher monthly payment than agreed.
Thought I'd just give them a call to check and it turns out that I'll have a 45 minute wait! Have e-mailed them - I won't hold my breath for a reply!
The letter states that I have 7 days from the date of the letter to change my mind, but as the letter is dated 17th October and I only received it today it seems I'm already too late!0 -
Theirs complaints department is even worse! OH been trying and trying to call to sort things out ( its well worth a separate thread:mad: ) and being put on hold... used call-back service, got an answer and they put phone down! We have got a pile of letters "we received your complaint..." as thick as a brick probably.
And now we moved so god only knows when and how it will all finish...(like I havent got enough stress so far:wall:)0 -
You are not alone, it seemed to be quite common when I was with Npower to get a letter a week, 2 weeks sometimes even 3 weeks after the date on it!The letter states that I have 7 days from the date of the letter to change my mind, but as the letter is dated 17th October and I only received it today it seems I'm already too late!0 -
I had an awful year, lots of stress and threats re wrong bills and direct debits taken and calculated way too high.
I decided to do something and set up an e-petition. Please take a look and consider signing.

Please consider signing. With people doing their bit we might bring about change.0 -
No bill, was due one 8/8/13, 1 complaint later, 5 phone calls, no bill. I've left Npower, I have a credit with them but will just have to sit and wait as I know it's going to take a while to get any money due back to me.
Also it's funny how I never see the Npower reps commenting on these threads0
