Thanks Mojisola,
Its been a lifetime feud between my husband and his brother. His brother is an alcoholic, doesn't work and expects mummy and daddy to always pay his way, and told me how much he despised his parents, and even in front of me stole out my father's safe. I took the stolen items back to my dad. He's evil !!!!!!! Wish I could elaborate more.Atush,
A solicitor did the will and she told us in the meeting she had with them, (we weren't present) my mum told her direct that the other "member" should get nothing and said why. And it was recorded in the minutes of the meeting.
I'm confused.
Whose parents are they?
You refer to 'my Mum' in the above post but say your husband and his brother have had a lifelong feud.
If it's your parents - what does their son-in-law's brother have to do with anything?0 -

As long as it is recorded and formalised and witnessed by independent witnesses that is good.0 -
OPG requesting Dad's bank statements, Dad wants to now write to them to tell them that he's happy with the way things are, as he instructed my husband to do what was done, bearing in mind, Dad has mental capacity, so does mom.
Dad now refuses to send them. Can Dad write to OPG regarding this???0 -

Perhaps have your solicitor write?
Your FIL is refusing to send the bank statements? Does he realise his son is at risk? Sounds like he isn't of sound mind as much as you thought?0 -

Atush, my FIL said he wants them to come to the house to discuss the statements with my husband and the OPG. They are transparent.0 -
Atush my FIL and MIL have both been assessed and have mental capacity0
