is it pink? Photo of a woman's face on it?

Personally I would take it to a bank and ask them if it is real if it was then I would pay it off a debt.

Use the money for something worth while and dont feel bad about it.
    Debt Free - done
    Mortgage Free - done
    Building up the pension pot
  • It might be someone's rent money that had accidently blown into your garden. How bad would you feel if you kept the money and he lost his home? ;)
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times and I'll smash your face in. :D

If you try and spend money in a shop and they claim it is fake. Do they have the right to keep (I assume they do), but they could possibly just be saying that, in which case what do you do?

I know I would be reluctant just to let the shopkeeper keep the (say) £50, even if their "magic wand" says it is fake.

I would be inclined to get them to call the police and have it recorded etc.

I realise this is highly unlikely to happen but you never know.

i would attempt to spend it / pay it into your bank account! finders keepers and all that.

But if it turns out to be Fake, I could get done for Fraud!!!

As above, rub the pink bit on a white piece of paper. If the colour comes off it's real, or a VERY good fake.
  • Personally I would pay it into your bank. If someone does come forward and claim it how can they prove its theirs.

If you take it to the police, same would apply and they would probably end up putting it in their funds. Surely the police get enough out of us with speed cameras. Enjoy it I say, a lucky find.
Why is there always too much month left at the end of the money :(

I saw this being done in a bank once - it works!
