Is my Dishwasher okay?

Putting pans on the bottom rack stops the jets reaching the things on the top rack. Mine is only a 'cheapy' dishwasher but does a good job on pans, mind you, any solids should be scraped off. I find that soaking pans such as mince, porridge etc. in cold water loosens any food and they can be rinsed off under the tap before putting in the dishwasher.0

It must be cheap, our Bosch has spray arms beneath both the bottom and top racks, both racks can be loaded without any loss of cleaning power.
Same as our 10+ year old Bosch.
Just checked the D/washer the OP has and its got 2 spray arms like the Bosch.
OP try removing any bits of food you can from plates etc and see what happens when you use it next.0 -
I've had dishwashers for many years of various makes and 2 things I've always struggled with is egg residue and burnt on black stuff - usually soak them a bit first - oh and dried on weetabix can be a challenge too! I usually find the standard or eco settings work best too!0

We have a Beko dishwasher and haven't had any problems with it. When I rang customer services about a problem they were really great too and solved the problem very quickly (loose hose, my fault!).
I've used several dishwashers, all different brands. I'd not really expect a dishwasher to remove burnt on food, you need to soak it first really, and all food should be removed before it goes in. If it's otherwise doing a good job, I'd say it's fine!0 -
I always soak burnt on food overnight, with some biological washing powder or liquid - gets it all off! Or there is the Fairy spray which I buy when it's on offer, that's pretty good too.:j Almost 2 stones gone! :j
