Have arranged switch but am now fearing penalties!
I'm with British Gas, on Fix & Fall Nov 13 and have arranged switch (following MSE advice to do it asap) to EDF. Contacted EDF today as I suddenly had a thought that it might all be arranged before the end of November and, right enough, my gas supply will start on 20 Nov and electricity on 12 Nov. Now I'm thinking that British Gas are going to charge me £50 per fuel and EDF say they can't change the dates.
Does anyone know if there's anything I can do to stop being charged?!

Contact British Gas and ask them to object to the supply transfer. That'll stop EDF from taking over and you can ask BG to stop objecting once you're out of the fixed period.0

If your changing supply from BGas as a result of their recent price rise announcement wouldnt you be allowed to leave with no cancellation fees. Sure i read that somewhere.0
