mouse problem

i have a BT Travel Mouse which i got with a dell xps m1530 laptop (5 1/2 years ago), the laptop does not work anymore, i have got the lend of an Advent laptop from a friend which has windows 7 in it, but cant get mouse to work. it says to refer to logitech, have tried his but getting nowhere,
does anyone have any idea if i can get the mouse to work and if so how do i go about it

Few years old, but may still apply. I assume the Advent laptop has working Bluetooth...

sorry i didnt get back sooner, it appears in the search i did that there is no Bluetooth on this laptop. Can bluetooth be added or is there another way around it

Buy a USB mouse, about a fiver.
