Check they have fitted the speedo cable/electric plug whatever your one has...if the plug/cable is on then they might have broken the plastic speedo drive when fitting the drive shafts back in.

On top of the gearbox, you can just see the plug thingy, you might not be able to see it with all the gubbins in the way:
