Hi all, hoping someone out there is able to help me. Basically my wife and I booked valet parking for a 0430 pickup at Gatwick in September. We booked through Looking4Parking whom we have used several times before. This was first time we used Just Valet Parking which was recommended through Looking4Parking. We are quite used to the routine of the valet parking at Gatwick and my wife rang the company JVP when we were 10 mins from Gatwick. The number answered as a recording telling her to call back. Again she called and the same recorded voice answered. This went on until we arrived at the collection point, there was no one to meet us. She rang again and again. Our flight was at 0540 and it was now 0445. We were both getting extremely anxious as although checked in, we wanted to get a coffee and last minute essentials before leaving. We waited until we were asked to move on by BAA Gatwick when I explained our problem. He told us he had never heard of Just Valet Parking! We began to get even more anxious as it was fast approaching 0500 and we had yet to get through security. The BAA guy told us we could wait a bit longer and suggested one of us go to the top of the car park as sometimes the drivers are up there. My wife went up to the top of the car park but there was no one from Just Valet Parking. She met another driver who had a mobile number of one of JVP drivers. She rang and the driver said he would be 15-20 minutes! He turned up at 0515. We really thought we would miss our flight but if it hadn't been for the guy on top of the car park, we would have. My wife and I are both in our seventies and this caused us a great deal of unnecessary stress. I wrote to the company Just Valet Parking to complain. To date I have not had any reply. I contacted Looking4Parking too but they don't seem to want to know. Does anyone know how I can find out the license issuers of Looking4Parking or Just Valet Parking as I really want to take this further.

Thanks earthstorm! That's excellent, will give them a try.0

Well its a waiting game now as I have sent Looking4parking an email giving them and JVP seven days to respond to my complaint. Not that I expect they will, then it will be a letter to the AVCPA and failing that, Trading Standards.0

What are you hoping to get from them? It appears there has been no loss.0

No loss that is correct, but the amount of stress it caused to both my wife and I, JVP should at least have the courtesy of answering my letter. I also did not mention in the original post that when we arrived back the car was returned to us with damage to the front bumper where it had been driven up a muddy bank. The car was covered in mud both at the front and inside on the driver mat! It is not too much to ask for compensation.0
