Online Banking

Hello,

Rather than having all my money in a single 'pot' in my current account, I find it easier to manage my finances if I can split my money down into a variety of custom pots.

It would also be useful if I could link some of these pots together to create an artificial overdraft of sorts. E.g. If go to an ATM I would prefer to only see a balance for my spending money, even though in reality i might still have access to my other funds which could be in a variety of sub-pots..

At some point In the past i heard that HSBC offered a bank account, which allowed you to split your money into several 'sub-accounts' to make it easier to manage your money. E.g. A pot for my bills, a pot for my holiday fund, a pot for home improvements etc etc. but all within a single bank account that I could manage online.

Does anyone know of such a facility or service? Can you recommend any specific accounts for me to look into?

Many thanks
