G E Money Mortgage Fee refunds

Not sure what I'm doing here - this site is very interesting and I have had a good look through but haven't come across the information i am look for, someone may be able to help. G E Money my mortgage company have applied numerous returned D/D and Admin fees to my account totalling over 1,300 in just two years - so i asked them to refund these charges using the same letter you use for bank charges - they replied with standard letters etc refusing saying the c/card refund laws do not apply to this situation, so in frustraction I filed a claim which thier solicitors have now defended - now I'm really worried because it seems mortgage Fees refunds are not as straightward as bank/credit card refunds and i really do not now what i am doing do i need a solicitor or does anyone know were i will find the help advise i need.
