Iconic Britain Art Competition. Anyone?

Hi,
I entered the Iconic Britain Art Competition in September. The judging was supposed to have taken place by now and the winners are supposed to be announced tomorrow (30 October). Trouble is, I haven't heard a single thing from anyone about it! Even their website has been promising 'More information shortly' for two months. Not a peep.
I have a sneaking suspicion that the announcement date will come and go tomorrow with no new information. Does anyone else know about this?
Thx

I don't know much about this competition, but I wouldn't panic just yet , especially since it's only one day late. If the competition closed in September, that doesn't leave a lot of time for judging, so maybe they've just underestimated how long it will take or how many entries they were going to get.
Maybe drop them a line and ask if there has been any progress.NSD May 1/150 -
Looking at it I got the gist that you will find out today when the results are released. Not sure why they would tell anyone about it before the results are in."If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0

Whoops, didn't read closely enough, sorry. But it doesn't change the gist of my post. Are you on their Facebook page, OP? It looks fairly active. Could be worth posting a quick query on there,,,, But in my experience it's fairly common for competition judging to be delayed.NSD May 1/150 -
Yeah, thanks everybody.
I'm really disappointed that Fecebook (spelling intended) dominates communication so utterly on the web now. It is likewise disappointing that AventArt would promise 'further news soon' on their website 2 months ago and not deliver.
But then, this is an Iconic BRITAIN competition after all. Or is that 'Ironic?'0 -
Just got an email from AventArt ...
They're returning my entry fee. Apparently they didn't get enough entries to cover the prize money.
I guess that explains the sound of crickets, even on their FB page.0 -
Latest update: AventArt have not returned my entry fee yet. A LOT of suspicious questions ...
I will keep the thread informed ...0 -
AventArt returned my entry fee after much complaining on my part. I have no idea if this would happen anyway or in they returned it to silence the squeaky wheel.
This is a call to all entrance: Please post here if AA have not returned your entry fee yet.0
