cheap place that makes copies of a cd

Hi

I am trying to create a cd of 37 songs for education.

I think I could make the tracks on my computer!

But then I need to send the files to someone who would put all 37 on a cd and print either a logo on it or a whole image (created by me) and then could give me some copies as and when I needed them.

can anyone reccomend anyone? not sure where to even start!

THANK YOU

CD's have a maximum running time of approx 72 mins, they need to be short songs!

Search for 'CD duplication', you'll find plenty of people offering the service. Depending on the quality and number you require, expect to pay about a quid each, roughly. If you want big numbers, glass mastering is the way to go, under that they'll be individually burned.

most modern computers have a cd burner built in unless your using a netbook with no cd drive. Also there is loads of free programs out there you can use to compile and burn cds with. Tell us what you have got.

As previous poster said, a standard CD holds almost 80 mins, so 37 tracks would be just over 2mins each....

Tell us what equipment you currently have available, and what format you have the songs in - physical CD? mp3 files?

You're unlikely to find a CD duplication house that will give you copies as and when you need them - you're more likely to find a minimum order level (500? 1000?), and multiples of those if you want more. They'll give you them all at once after you pay them....

Get yourself a Lightscribe burner if it's just for a few discs.

This article gives you a realistic idea of what to expect.

You can buy an internal DVD writer for a PC from £15 or external from £20.

There is also the possibility to create a DVD Audio disc, if you wish to avoid the MP3 route.
  • Thanks everyone.

Yes they are extremely short, the whole running time is only about 5 minutes!

I looked up CD duplication and got a few quotes, and yes the quotes were roughly a £1 each!

I have a Mac OS X 10.6.8, but have always been rubbish at attempting to burn anything onto disks!

    The file will be m4a

I thought about copying the cds myself, but I want them professionally done and labeled.

I just found somewhere that has quoted 50 cds with text on front, in clear plastic wallets, with my printed colour image on the front (98p per unit) delivered = £67.20 (inc vat)

    Thanks everyone
