CCJs not showing up on all credit reports

Hi,

I've got a CCJ from Jan 2012, which was satisfied in Aug 2012. On my credit report, there is no record of it on Equifax or Experian. However it does show up on Callcredit, albeit as unsatisfied. I have contacted the relevant people to get a letter to prove that I have satisfied the CCJ and I 've been told that I need to send it into the Court and they will update my records.

I was wondering if the court updates my record is there a risk of the CCJ being updated to all of my records? Could I just send the letter to Callcredit and let them deal with it, or should I just leave things be and count myself lucky it's only showing at Callcredit?

Many thanks

Lenders also use http://www.trustonline.org.uk/ for obtaining information.

Only the court can mark the register as satisfied.

Experian and Equifax will have a record of the CCJ. There is just something stopping it showing up for you. Lenders would likely see it if they checks, so you would be cutting off your nose to spite your face by leaving it.

Is there an address issue with equifax and experian? do they show the address that the CCJ was granted at? If not then the CCJ could easily appear at some point if the address does get linked to your file.

All the credit reference agencies get the same data from the registry trust - which is the official list of all CCJs.

Any changes the court makes should be sent to Registry Trust (RT), which then updates all three CRAs. If you query a judgment record with an individual CRA it should liaise with RT to make sure its and the other CRAs' records are updated properly.

You should contact the individual CRAs to check how the reports you've seen were produced. Sounds to me like one of your addresses might not have been searched correctly.
