Washing smells like rubber and buring!!!

Can anyone shed any light on this please!!!
My washer is an Indesit and its 2 years old.
My washing has started to smell like rubber as soon as it’s been washed. Once dried it smells of burning!
I have rinsed the machine through with bleach on a 90 degree wash about 5 times. I have also been in touch with the manufactures, who sold me some industrial cleaner to get rid of the bacteria build up. But still the same smelly clothes result.
Would using white vinegar and soda crystals make any difference?
Does anyone know of any part inside the machine that maybe causing this problem?
I have read all the other similar posts related to odd washing machine smells and seem to have done all they suggest. I’m on the verge of just buying a new machine!!!!

Hi gooseman,
There's a number of things that can cause this and almost all have nothing at all to do with the washing machine. I wrote this article on it all a while ago which I hope may shed some light.
Other than the bearings on the way out, allowing the drum to drop slightly and touch the door seal there's not a lot else it can be. There is nothing in the washing machine that can produce an odour unless it fails.

Hi there gooseman
I had a similar problem recently..the washing was coming out smelling awful.. i poured basic vinegar into the drawer and put it on a boil wash, and then i ran a normal temp wash through just to get rid of the vinegar smell ( i put teatowels in to save running it empty)...and now my washer and washing smells fine....
it seems quite a few people are having the same problem..i have answered several times...i also saw on there someone saying not to use bleach as it will rot the rubber...
hope this helps-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
You do your own washing? Whats wrong with the maidFlames in the Garden of Eden
Heaven in pieces at my feet
I faced the raging ruins
Of a million sleepless nights
I need to rest my weary head
