I have a back condition thats getting worse. I would like something that will cover 5 or 6 miles. Mostly flat, With one fairly steep section but its fairly short also.

I dont want to spend a lot of money though. And pedalling is not an option. I can stop and walk it over the steep section. But not pedal.

Anything other than ebay spares or repairs ones?

    Thanks.

  • The main thing about an electric bike is that they are an extremely boring and undynamic in use and godawful to pedal if the battery dies. any journey of any length over a few miles becomes a chore, just sat there doing nothing at 15 mph is dreadful. I got a lot of ridicule from my friends with my short lived trial, the wife would nt even try it out and I was happy to sell it on with no loss in the end. Spending a £1000 and get a nice light racing bike weighing around 17lbs is a better option. Then you get the pleasure of an active, dynamic experience which is never boring. Ok, if you re hard up, ailing or too knackered to pedal , buy one, but if possible have a trial before handing over your cash
