Morning all,
My friend sends some email with a PPT file attached, I cant open as it always wants to open file with Microsoft Office, as I only have Open office, is there any other way to open a PPT file, what ever that maybe?

PPT is a powerpoint presentation.
I'm not sure if OpenOffice has a compatible application, but you can download a free viewer from here:-

OpenOffice has a piece of software called Impress. That will allow you to open PPT files:

Are you sure that it's actually your friend who's sent this, not a malware bot?
malicous ppt presentations could have macros in them that do nasty things to your PC when run.
Edit: By that I mean: if your friend's PC is virus infected, the virus could be spreading itself by emailing a copy to everyone in his/her email contact list.0 -
