    Hi everyone,

    Thanks for starting us DNMS.
Candy - Congratulations on your new job! So pleased for you.

    Today's plan:-
    • Making use of free water & doughnut at work
    • Food from stores - leftovers for lunch
    • Dinner from meal plan - Bangers & mash & veg
    • Log calories & exercise on free apps
    • Checked birthday bingo
    • Charging phone at work
    • Check online banking
    • Check for new mystery shopping opportunities
    • Enter some comps
    • Do some surveys
    • Declutter & flylady
    • DH hopefully doing a bit of overtime today
    • Heating off, fleecey dressing gowns on instead
    • Check fleabay, 6 items will sell at the moment :) Not big bucks unfortunately but it all helps & I really need to get rid of this stuff, need to declutter!
    • Check Sainsbugs giftcard has loaded & if it has then go to Sainsbugs straight after work, taking own bags & need to stick to list, use coupons if I spend enough, which judging by mysupermarket last night I will!
    • Go to prepaid pole class afterwards, saves petrol & time
    • Print off order confirmation at work, saves my paper & ink (order was necessary, it's a xmas present for my Granddad & I used cashback to get a whopping 64p back, & free click & collect ;))
Hope you're all ok & have a great MSE day x

    Already Done:
    *Spent some time on Swagbucks
*Answered some surveys on the Maximiles app
*Submitted a meter reader for the gas and elec, as I don't want to be under/overpaying
*Lunch was tin of soup from store cupboard

    To Do:
    *Answer some surveys in inbox
    *Evening meal from store cupboard
*Use up some free samples of body cream
*Print out Tesco clubcard coupons and coupons from Supersavvyme for shop tomorrow
*email a couple of friends (I figure I'm saving on phone bills that way)

    Ohh people it's not fair!!!
I am getting to the point where I really want to change my job due to the stress levels/change in management and company direction but I seriously can't afford to drop my salary! To be fair, I could afford to but I'd never get the rest of my debt cleared off :( what a horrible position to be in :(

So I'm struggling to stay positive right now, I'm going with the small positive DFW things...
    - Checked all bank accounts
    - Paid £50 off hen party trip, straight from budget account "entertainment" fund
    - Try to work hard on training new girl, not going to plan...:(
    - B/L/D from stores
    - Dinner from mealplan, OH cooked :D
    - NSD on anything not budgeted for
    - Make lunch for tomorrow, healthy and stick to diet!
    - Start researching 0% balance transfers to open CC as mine runs out 14th November
    - Try to sleep well tonight :(

Too many sad faces there, need to man up and get on with it!
    Jx
Nothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!

  • I'm a bit late to the party but...

    NSD :)
B/L/D from stores/meal plan (discovered DS2 likes homemade chow mein which costs pennies)
Found I can fit into DS1's unwanted/unliked (thus unused) winter coat :)
    Refund agreed :):)
Go to bed and watch TV instead of using heating and lighting (posting from there now)
    Checked account online :)
Hot chocolate from stores at home instead of costa at work :)
    Charged phone at work :)
Prescription pain meds free day :)
    Research DD1 xmas present
Pat self on back for no self-flagellation over debts - can't change it now but can work towards fixing it
Ask for overtime hours - boss off sick will ask tomorrow
Plan study leave - will save travel costs and in long term improve income
Check ebay sales - two items with bids now :)
    Begin DFW diary :)

I've REALLY been bitten by the MSE bug :D

  • Candy your job sounds fab. Hang in there josie, something better will find you :)

    Evening update:

    Good DFW things

    • Charge phone in work - done
    • Overtime until 7.30 - til 7. Not bad, but my brain shut down!
    • B/L/D from stores (reduced fruit bread/rice & reduced houmous salad with reduced pitta/poss left over pizza if OH doesn't eat it or something else) - OH has eaten pizza. Couldn't face cooking so had a very bizarre "ploughmans" consisting of apple, cheese, pitta bread, houmous, mini gherkins and tomatoes. Who would have thought that gherkins and houmous would taste so good?!
    • Put Kenco reward points into account (am running out of free coffee!) - done. Ordered more Milicano :D
    • Look for m-i-l's Christmas present. Have had to scale down my original idea due to cost - will discuss with OH when he gets in
    • Use saved gift bags/ribbon/tissue paper to wrap m-i-l's birthday scarf (which is much softer thanks to internet solution) - done
    • Heating still OFF. Although was nippy for the first time this morning - very nippy tonight. Am not putting the heating on now, but we're close.
    • Checked the Wychwood madvent calender. It's free but you need to sign in through Facebook. Didn't win though :(www.wychwood.co.uk/halloween
    Potential slip ups
    • OH stayed out at the pub last night. Spend: unknown.
    • OH going out with uni mates for birthday tonight. Spend: Possibly astronomical. - apparently he isn't going out now
    • I am getting in late from work. Always tempting to pick up something quick for dinner from Tesco. Must resist. Having said that, I don't have any money left (paid on Thursday) so not too bad! - I was good girl
    LBM 11/06/2010: DFD 30/04/2013
    Total repaid: £10,490.31
  • Hello,

Newbie here - really need to get my act together - I tried ninja savings kat September challenge - big fail so hopefully you will all help keep me on the straight and narrow.

    For today ....

B/L/D from stores and meal plan
Two loads of washing done - one dried on the line, one on racks
Load of washing to get finished early so I get another one done before
work and both outside - early risers in this house
Went for a run using NHS couch to 5k
Mended the run in the bottom of my pop socks
Patched my woollen mittens which I love but have holes in and can't find another pair

    CS
  • Evening, newbie here but follow with interest as so many good ideas. Positive things here:
    * Lunch was work's leftovers from a meeting so didn't need to eat mine I had taken in, result!
    * Tea was from the slow cooker (a godsend in our house) and leftovers will do hubby for lunch and tea tomorrow
    * small spend in B and Q for finishing bits for hanging our door curtain...hoping this will make things a little warmer and save on turning heating up...heating on here for short while each day :( mainly to get washing dry
    * reclaimed professional registration fees back from work so bonus £76!
