Where do you hang your coats?

Mine are hanging in the porch on a coat-stand but taking up room, thinking of putting up a coat rack in downstairs 'cloakroom' ie small room with loo and wash hand-basin. Is it unhygienic to hang coats here do you think?

Mine are hanging on a wall mounted set of coat hooks in my porch. Couldn't you do that?
