Should I fix? New boiler fitted tomorrow

Hi
I'm currently coming to the end of a fix with Scottish Power (end of this month) and need to change my supplier but I'm not sure what the best action will be.
We've currently got an old behind-the-gas-fire boiler and current costs for gas and electricity are currently around £100 pcm on average, but we are having a brand new boiler/heating system fitted tomorrow and the old one removed.
British Gas are supplying and fitting the boiler/heating system and If I sign up with them I get a few added benefits such as boiler servicing and the cool looking control unit (it's wireless and looks awesome).
Obviously my new heating system should be more efficient and therefore costs less.
However I'm not sure wether I should sign up for a long-fix based on my current/previous energy usage (EDF March 2017), go for a shorter fix (at slightly higher rates) or go with British Gas (who are not coming out anywhere in the comparison lists).
Advice greatly appreciated.

Does an awesome thermostat swing it for you?. Go for whatever you feel gives you the best deal over the period. Hopefully a new boiler will reduce your costs a bit, probably by enough to negate the recent increases whizzo thermostat or notNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0
