Music player that was installed would not recognise any on the music I put on the Nexus.0 -
Wife just uses the default Player on her Nexus 7. I've installed Rocket Music Player on my Nexus 4.
You can also get apps to retrieve album art - I use Cover Art Downloader.0 -

It all depends if the file you have of the music has the cover art work in it - a lot dont. I use VLC on my 7 and if the music has artwork it shows it. The normal player does too, if it has it"If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0 -
The proper Google Music app (icon is yellow headphones), DoubleTwist (great for syncing stuff from your computer to any phone, or even memory cards, are two that I use.
The first part of course, is to have the artwork associated with the tracks in the first place - organise it !0 -

The music I was transferring did have the artwork. The normal player didn't. A friend has also had a similar problem.0
