Tesco Hudl - order (and Christmas!) cancelled by them ?

I reported the missed delivery to Tesco and they're responded today to say they are sorry, the item was out of stock (again !) and that's the reason it never left their depot.

Except - I had already been on the Yodel site and seen a package, individually identified by a tracking number, recorded as arriving there last week but then tagged 'Please contact sender'. In my experience this means the package was damaged or the contents missing.

The red HUDL is now out of stock, so they cannot just replace it as such. They have offered to cancel the order and refund the cash and clubcard points, which would cause sheer chaos now.

They suggest registering for stock alerts, but when I do that I get a strange message back saying that resource is not available !

The alternative was to let them change the order (again !) and send one out that they have got in stock, so I've gone back to the black one and asked them to do that instead.

What a fiasco this has been ! I have lost all confidence in the online ordering system with this and will not be ordering from them again. Very disappointed with the performance.
