Tesco Hudl - order (and Christmas!) cancelled by them ?

I'm still going through email with them. Seems the message I sent them yesterday was not received until this morning and I've asked that they don't phone in a morning. I'm now waiting for a call.... zzzzzz
My clubcard vouchers are now showing as used, so I cannot re-start my order. I'll also be out of pocket with the cash difference I had to pay. My mortgage is due out of the bank tomorrow so I would have to wait for the refund to show on my bank account before I could afford to spend it again.
From what others are saying, I'll now be fobbed off in some way with not being able to use the clubcard boost on the vouchers. By the time I get the cash back in the bank they'll have sold out again. The purple ones are now out of stock, along with black.
Unacceptable. No other word.0 -
I would ring the number on your Clubcard and speak to them directly.0

Had a call from Tesco today and they have worked out a solution that allowed them to place a new order, for a blue HUDL, which is now showing on their site.
My clubcard points account will look messy by the time they've finished as they have had to wait for the points to be credited by the system and are now manually deducting them again.
At least they've done what they could to rectify what seems to have been a pretty major mistake in taking orders and cancelling them.0 -
Tempted to buy a HUDL for my 14 year old son. He has a little Ipod Touch, which he watches Youtube on and goes on Facebook and Twitter. He loves this. I just cannot afford to buy him an IPAD MINI which would be the progression. Do you think a HUDL would be a viable compromise instead??
Would welcome your views, especially if you have teens and understand the 'street cred' issues.keep smiling,

Really glad it worked out in the end. As I said they have always been very helpful when I have had problems.
( no I don't work for them) :rotfl:0 -

Unfortunately, with teens its all about cred, so nothing less than an ipad will do. However, kids have to learn if your budget doesnt stretch that far then they have to accept they get what they are given, so i have gone ahead and bought my DD a hudl
I have an ipad so can give you a comparrisoon based on usage (had a play before putting away dds for Christmas) rather than just cred. I think the hudl is fantastic. The picture and sound quality is great. It has access to most apps i use on my ipad, so for me, it is noway lacking compared to the ipad.
Yes, your son may a bit meh when he sees its not an ipad, but once he starts to use it, his opinion should change. I also think that this christmas alot of people will be getting a hudl, so perhaps the attitude to anything other than ipad may change. I know people with galaxy tabs feel 2nd best to ipad owners, but the price difference isnt so great, so its not like 'look how little i paid for something that does the same as an ipad' iyswim0 -
Well, they sorted the order out for me last week and I got all the info to say it was despatched, delivery due 5th by November.
Today I followed up the tracking, only to find that it arrived at the local depot on October 31st and is 'stuck' there with a note saying 'please contact sender'.
I tried to check with the courier myself but they say it has to be the sender who does the chasing.
I guess it's my fault, I didn't specify WHICH Christmas...0
