We stayed here for an anniversary, http://www.abbeyviewlodges.co.uk/ there was a sunken hot tub on the decking and a sauna in the lodge. We went out to a local farm shop and bought some posh ready meals, and to a local vineyard for a bottle of wine on the first day, then spent the rest of our weekend in the lodge in the robes and slippers provided, jumping in and out of the hot tub and the sauna, and having a lovely walk up to the abbey ruins nearby.0

We had a week in the Cider Tower a few years ago and it was brilliant. It overlooks Kirkcudbright Bay just to the south of the town.

It might be worth you ringing them and asking about a deal, they did us a good deal because we went just before Xmas and they didn't have many bookings at the time. They also advertise with Hoseasons so you might get a better price through them.0

Depends what you like, but me and my husband try to have mini breaks about once a year. We like cities, we like walking and we like being pampered so we usually do one night in a country B&B and one in a spa hotel. For example:
- Lion Quays hotel in shropshire and a rural welsh place
- Camping followed by Chester Doubletree
- http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_Review-g186525-d483683-Reviews-Hotel_Ceilidh_Donia-Edinburgh_Scotland.html followed by Norton House Spa hotel in Edinburgh
You can often get a good DBB offer on the fancy hotel. Good luck!0 -
