Nationwide overdrawn question

Hi, so basically my pay goes in tomorrow but I fancy having a bet on the football tonight. Only a fiver but I was wondering if I would get charged anything for going overdrawn even though my pay goes in tomorrow? I overdrew once before and I went over to the Nationwide bank the next morning and paid it in to my account and the person who worked there said that it was fine and I wouldn't get charged anything as long as I paid it back by midday the next day. So, would this be the same as my money goes in tomorrow anyway?
I know this isn't the biggest problem in the world but I thought I would ask anyway
Edit: It's also a debit account

It is a money saving website, Not a website offering advice on gambling and how not to get bank charges because you cant stop yourself betting.
Best bet (pardon the pun) is not to gamble.0 -

In no way was I asking for advice on gambling and lets not pretend that you know anything about me. I had a genuine question and your reply was not helpful in the slightest.0 -

Why don't you just apply for an overdraft.

Why don't you wait with your bet, until your salary has actually been credited to your account? If something goes wrong and your salary tomorrow is delayed (for whatever reason) you are in trouble.0 -
yes, which isn't gambling if you understand what you're doing.
Ha ha i know that but it a slippery slop for someone who gets carried away and starts chasing, or doesn't understand the concept, read through it when you get a chance as there are plenty of people who shouldn't have tried it on that thread, shouldn't be on here at all in my opinion,:beer:0 -

And of course if you can find someone to accept a bet tomorrow on tonight's football you're on a sure thing (assuming you check the results first).0 -
Why do you need to borrow from the bank? Surely you'll have at least one friend that'll lend you a fiver to go and bet on the footy (would be pretty sad if you didn't). You could even tell him the reason and say something like "If I win, I'll give you £10 back, if I lose, I'll return your £5".0
