Indeed.
Some would argue it's worth far more....“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Britain's house prices are booming. A booming disgrace.0
-
HOUSE prices have gone up by an average 0.5 per cent this month – the ninth rise in a row – as figures today suggest confidence in the market is at its highest for years.
Homes across England and Wales are worth 3.1 per cent more than a year ago, says property analyst Hometrack.
In the past four weeks alone, the value of the average property has soared by £6,923, more than £200 a day.
A typical three-bedroom semi is now worth £252,418.
How does that work?
0.5% of 252k is £1,260 or £42 ish a day.
Have they taken the yearly movement of 3.1% and divided it by 30 rather than 365?
Or am I missing something?0 -
One person's win is another person's loss. With house price rises many more people lose than win.
It is a shame to see so many revelling in the misfortune of and discomfort of their fellow man.0 -

If prices didn't move at all for a while nobody loses and the young win, best solution overall.
You know the posts of I can now buy x y z, well my house has reduced by approx 2.4%, but my overdraft and credit card don't seem to have been adjusted and my income is the same so I could still buy the same items.
With that I am not foolish enough to waste money on apple products so all is good here.

Make it 9, but no idea why I was kicked off.
Very oddly run, but some really good posters buried beneath the the usual nutters you get on forums.0
