If you can remove the broken pin, get a new lead or simply fit a new plug

(should be able to buy one locally if you don't have any)

Dismantle TV, remove broken chassis socket, install replacement socket.
Neither of the above links are appropriate to a repair of the chassis socket on the TV....
The socket on the TV shouldn't have the pin - the male plug should be on the coaxial lead, the female receiving socket on the chassis of the TV.0 -
Depends on what's broken - it isn't clear if the OP means the aerial lead, or the socket is broken when they mention the pin remaining. If it's the lead and they can get this out they just need a new male fitting on the aerial lead.Neither of the above links are appropriate to a repair of the chassis socket on the TV....

Exactly . . .googler: The socket on the TV shouldn't have the pin - the male plug should be on the coaxial lead, the female receiving socket on the chassis of the TV.
That's why I took it mean the pin from the plug on the lead had broken off in the socket
Bit ott to start dismantling the tv if thats all it is . . .Iv not tried getting the pin out of the tv yet . . . . Is it best to buy a new cable?0 -
Ahhh ... pin broken off in socket, not 'inside' the TV. With you now.0
