Is anyone having problems with getting in contact with Npower.

I phoned on Saturday and after 27 minutes waiting my called was dropped.

I have already phoned today and after 6 minutes it was dropped again.

I understand that line are busy but after receiving a letter saying I Am going to be transferred onto the standard tariff even though I arranged a month ago to go onto another fixed I am a little confused.

3 rd attempt my call has been dropped again after 6 minutes.

I signed up to a fixed tarriff then received no bills for 6 months, then got a bill saying I owed hundreds on a standard tarriff, then they hiked my DD to £150pcm to clear said bill, after 6 months of calls and letters I was able to prove that I signed up to a fixed tarriff, get my DD reduced to £55pcm, and they had to give me almost a £200 refund. My fixed deal was ending so I swapped to Go Save which was actually going to be cheaper, only to then receive a letter stating they would be increasing my DD to £71pcm for no apparent reason. Which I fought and managed to keep at £55pcm. And as of yesterday I have received a letter explaining the price hike and detailing my plan increases on "standard tarriff" I am not and never have been on a standard tariff!

They don't answer calls, online messages take weeks to answer, my record being 9! Their entire customer service is a joke! I've done all the comparisons and EDF's Blue+ will save me the exact amount of the increase essentially leaving my bills the same, BUT I have over £300 credit with NPower ready for the cold snap and 24/7 central heating but daren't switch supplier because you can guarantee i'll never see a penny of my £300 back!

    Finally got through.

In regards to calls been dropped they are having problems at the moment with their phone lines and some calls are being dropped.

The letter sent to me new charges for the standing tariff is another mistake and there wad a problem last week which sent these letters out to customers even if they had signed up to another tariff.

So basically they've sent everyone the same standard tariff letter. hhhmmmmmmm

Did you manage to get a switch? or was your call related to something else?

I can't switch from Npower yet due to payout date of bonus being in December. But they have confirmed that I am on the tariff that I changed to in September.
  • Happened to me the other day. So frustrating!

So they are having system issues and phone line issues.

How they still have customers I don't know
