Leather Suite In Flat - Which one?

I'm moving into a new flat in a couple of weeks, its a 2 bedroom top floor,
and its brand new.
It has dark/navy blue carpet throughout and walls are like a cream colour -
painted, presumably since its a rented property the landlord wants to make
them last as long as possible.
Anyways the living room is bare and I'm looking at getting a sofa. The
catalogue store is doing a great promotion at the moment on leather sofa
suite (buy a 3 seater and get a 2 seater free, a tight squeeze I thought for
a small flat, but measurement wise it should work okay). I have no kids and
I'm single if that's any help.
I'm stuck on the colour, black or cream? Both same price, both same style, I want it to look nice but also last me a few years. It seems to be 50/50 at the moment. I've had two females tell me that black won't go with navy carpet, and another saying black shows dust and dirt more than any colour. All the lads are saying that black goes with anything and it will last longer.
Any more opinions?

Personally I wouldn't put black with cream walls and a navy carpet, so I'd go for the cream. And yes I'm femaleBaby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

hmmm yeah the walls and carpet wouldn't match with black BUT having a cream sofa (leather or not) shows up everything. in practicality black would be better but style wise cream .....Other women want a boob job. Honey the only silicone i'm interested in is on a 12 cup muffin tray, preferably shaped like little hearts0

Well I've got kids and a black leather suite that looks great 5 years on. A friend of mine has a pale blue leather sofa and that looks a bit dingy, 3 years on.(she has kids).
It would be fairly cheap and easy to paint the walls to match the sofa.0 -
Cream I would say they are easily cleanedtravelover0

Don't want to be a killjoy, but do make sure you can get whatever suite you choose through the bloody door! This seems to be a bit of a prob nowadays."When you want something said, ask a man.
When you want something DONE, ask a woman" - Margaret Thatcher0 -
how long will you be in the flat? Cream goes with anything so when you move it will go with your new carpet colour.Black would look yuck with navy!!!.Cream sofa, navy cushions thrown on top-that will look niceI want money..........that's what I want !!:j0
