British Gas Fixed Price 2016

I applied to join the above offer on Oct 15th, I received an e-mail on Oct 17th saying my tariffs would be changed shortly. My Gas tariff has changed on my account but my electricity one still shows the Online Energy tariff. Yesterday I received an e-mail from BG saying the 2016 tariff will not take effect untii Nov 23rd (after the price hikes). as my gas account already shows me as switched on Oct 25th can they do this. The offer said SWITCH NOW not SWITCH NOV 23rd. Thanks for any help.

Have you checked which one is cheaper? In my region the 2016 fix is more expensive so the delay could be in your favour.0

I would have thought the current 2016 deal would be cheaper as the nov 23rd one would include the recent prices hikes. cheers0
