benefits advice

I currently get income support as i could not get incap as i did not have enough nhs contributions. my current situation I am 23 & have depression & anxiety i do not work because of this, i cant look after myself so my mum stopped working to look after me if she doesn't i wont eat & it is possible i would hurt myself.
I do not leave my house much i cant stand going out and if i do my parents have to be with me because i cant go out on my own.

bad things have happened to me in the past when i have been outside alone
allot of bad things have happened in the past too which i cant get over.

i got a letter a few days ago from the job center plus saying suggesting that i should call the number for DLA too see if i can claim it in addition to PTO??? what ever PTO.

Could someone please fill me in about DLA & also soon i have to start paying rent & council tax too its in my name so i am responsible for the council tax if i do not pay it i shall go to jail and if i go to jail i will end my life.

These two sites explain about DLA and mental health problems:

If you decide to claim DLA, I suggest that you go to the CAB for a referral to a welfare rights worker to help complete the forms. You will have much more chance of success, if someone experienced fills out the forms for you.

As regards to council tax/rent, you should be getting all of that paid if you are on Income Support - contact the CAB to ask them to do a benefits check for you - they will also contact the Housing Benefit department on your behalf..

As for PTO, I have never heard of it - are you sure that's right?

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset. ;)

Some CABx do home visits, you will have to phone them to see if they will come to you if going out is difficult.

Are you having some counselling/help with this? Your doctor should be able to refer you if not.
