Zipping Files Together ~ Sorry, I'm thick

I'm doing an OU course and the first assignment is a slide show and a document. These are required to be zipped together in order to submit.

I've followed their instructions, but can't complete it, I've googled and tried to drag and drop into a new folder together, but that won't submit either, as it then wants me to choose one of the files within the folder.

I know it's a stupid question, but I just can't do it.

right click, new, compressed zip folder
copy and paste two files into folder
attach the folder (it's not really a folder, it's a .zip file) to email

or download and use 7zip

Another way:

Select the documents you want to zip up, then right click and go to Send to > compressed (zipped) folder.

Use zipping software such as WinZip, and follow the software instructions for generating the zip file.
