Sainsburys credit card

I recently applied for a credit card, I did it on line and at the end of the application, they said my application was being processed and would be in touch. I had a letter from them yesterday saying that some info was missing, it's either, post code, bank details or phone number. They said they will reconsider the application if I supply them with these details. The thing is, I know I entered all the information on line, it wouldn't let me go further with it if I didn't! So I don't understand why they've sent the letter?
Just wondered if anyone else had had the same problem?

Call and ask them about the letter
