new account advice

Hi i have a default which will be paid off in 2015 march.

I currently have a barclays cash card account and restricted debit card select account.

Can anyone recommend a good basic / current account which i can upgrade in a couple of years maybe.

Id also need 24 hour petrol pump access on my debit card i have this at the moment with my barclays cash card account.

Impossible to tell what will be around in a couple of years, and what your requirements will be in a couple of years. However, it is likely that most basic accounts will have very similar features. At the top of the page, there is a basic bank account sticky, and there's also a basic bank account article on the main site if you want to update yourself on what is presently available.

Be happy that you have a such good account. AFAIK most basic accounts come with online cards that don't give you this option.
