  • Once again... it is hard to edit on this phone so any spelling mistakes or poor punctuation is down to not caring as I am not writing an assessed piece of work!
  • (All the options about completing a half year and switching to part-time halfway through the year are options available at my uni so it's perfectly plausible they will also be available at yours)... no it isn't you clearly do not know what you are talking about
  • I was in a similar situation where I started uni at 22 and had worked since I was 16 but got rejected for independent status. Id had several jobs in that time, mostly part time and I think it worked out id been working fulltime for jst under 3 years. Anyway like I say I got rejected so I appealed and they changed their mind and I got the full grant and bursary (backdated as had started 2nd year).
Im not sure what the rules are exactly but I think you might be ok

You do NOT need to increase your font size for phone users. What do you think the zoom facility is for?!

Your posts are impossible to read in such large font. Please go back and edit them to the normal font size.

  • Thank you Charlishae that is very interesting! ! What did you base your appeal on and how did you get the decision changed ??

    Thanks in advance! !

I was going to offer further help if required, given my expertise. Think I will politely bow out of this thread now though, and wish you well on your course.

You do realise that it costs nothing to be polite? You are the one asking for help here. Those with expertise in this area are unlikely to help given your attitude.
  • Thanks for everything Taiko its been a blast!!

Poet123.. read through the posts again as I dont think you took on board the content. I initially was polite and I took offence to some patronising words...once again if you would have read through the posts thoroughly you would of seen I came to the conclusion that there is no legislation that states the £7500 figure previously discussed. Even if the thread pleased you what exactly did you have to offer ?? I will have a poor attitude when elders patronise me or if I feel I am being patronised by people only feeling comfortable because they are sat behind a keyboard... thats down to me thank you, youve not helped at all!
  • Just incase you haven't picked up on previous posts... typing on this phone is extremely difficult and editing posts is even tougher

My point was to try to show you that sometimes whatever you feel about a post/er if you want their help (and there are those here who are very knowledgeable in the area) you need to exercise restraint. You carry on having a self confessed (and obvious)poor attitude and you and only you will bear the consequences.

Long term I think I might have helped, short term you will probably learn the hard way.;)
