UKCPS parking charge for scooter

Hi, I have searched through the forum and can't find an answer so I have to ask. I was given a ticket for parking my scooter outside a shop on a retail car park that it turns out is patrolled by UKCPS. I parked next to bollards so that I could chain the scooter but was given a ticket due to parking 'outside of marked bay'. I couldn't see any instruction on their signs relating to motor bikes or scooters, they do not have specific spaces for motor bikes or scooters.
I have received my notice to keeper - a couple of weeks ago - so now really need to know what to do. I really don't want to pay £100 - but I was parked out of marked bay. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Just read the stickies at the top of the section about what to do. Was it a free car park?"You should know not to believe everything in media & polls by now !"

Don't look for motorbike parking as it's irrelevant in terms of parking, the fact is that you appeal this as there can be no possible loss on this, so it's an unlawful penalty.
Just appeal with didn't see signs, the amount doesn't reflect the pre estimate of loss, and that they don't have authority to issue tickets there. Do this as the registered keeper keep it in the third person. Once they reject come back here for help with poplaWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

The fact you were on a bike is of no relevance, all the posts about receiving these invoices from the scammers apply to you and your scooter. Just take your mode of transport out of the equation and deal with the ticket in the way suggested in the stickies."You should know not to believe everything in media & polls by now !"

In fact, freeing up a large parking space for a car whilst inconveniencing no one was actually benefiting the landowner.0

Tell us what the sentence says on the yellow/white NTK, under 'Appeals Procedures'?
And does it state the 'period of parking'?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Ok, thanks, I've written them a letter questioning their authority etc. and asking them to confirm they won't pursue the charges. I'll come back when they come back! Thanks again for the help.0
