Lanzarote Bus Route from Playa Blanca to Puerto Calero and Puerto del Carmen

We have stayed in Playa Blanca previously and know the resort quite well. We are aware we can catch bus route 61 from the bus station in Playa Blanca to Puerto del Carmen which we believe runs hourly. What we want to do is catch a bus to Puerto Calero where we understand it stops and then walk along the coastal path between Puerto Calero and Puerto del Carmen. What we do not know and are hopeful if someone can help is;
1. Where the bus stops in Puerto Calero and is it near the sea front.
2. Coming Back from Puerto Del Carmen to Playa Blanca which is the nearest bus stop to the harbour/old town. Any directions will be appreciated.

You're probably better off asking on the Lanzarote TripAdvisor forum rather than here, link below;

Here's the timetable. Perhaps use Google maps with this to see where the stops are

We have just returned from Matagorda,we did not go with the intention of hiring a car but we got a Chevrolet for 20Euros a day inc full insurance.0 -
Do you have a Smartphone OP?
If so citymaps2go is a great free app that shows bus stops etc.
It's also a great map to walk around with to see where exactly you are
This is a screenshot from my iPad - I've circled the bus stop

We have been to Playa Blanca this year and used the Route 61 to Puerto del Carmen. it also stops at Puerto Caleta which is worth visiting. We caught the bus back from Puerto del Carmen at the Balcon De Mar bus stop which is a short walk uphill walk from the Old Town and Harbour.One word of advise avoid the 10.30 bus from Playa Blanca as it is very popular and crowded and you are unlikely to get a seat. Aim for either the 9.30 or 11.30 .The journey takes about 1 hour and the bus passes through the town of Yaiza0

The bus runs hourly, but later in the day more likely than not they are running up to half and hour late. As stated above the 10.30 bus from playa Blanca is often very crowded and there are occasions when it will be full. The 9.30 bus is a much better option0
