Size 16 Brides - photo sharing on MSE boards.

I was having a think about the dresses I tried on so far, and have some idea about what I would like to wear on the day, but I'm still looking around for inspiration, and then it struck me; have a look at some of fantastic pictures that have already been uploaded on here by you guys.

I'm currently a size 16, and all the pictures I look at online are generally either a size 6, 8 or occasionally a size 10, which IMHO is not a fair representation of what I could potentially look like in that dress if I got it (unless you shove a knee in my back and yank on the corset strings until I cant breathe - not what I'd like thank you very much ).

Rather than trawling the boards though, I thought it might be nice to start a thread, and see if any of the brides (or future brides and perhaps what they've tried on so far if they have piccies) on here would be willing to share their pictures with us on how they looked on the day - but only those who are size 16 as per the title.

I hope others like the idea, and that there were some kind ladies out there that would be willing to share their picture so we can see what some styles look like in our wonderful voluptuous curves

If it catches on, and others would like a different size thread, then perhaps they could start their own and state the size in the title.

Quick tip, if you have problems uploading a picture, then imgur is quite good for getting a link for others to view.

I like the idea, but not sure we'd end up with a thread for each size. Maybe just plus size (societally designationed as 16+), and another for our slim willowy beauties (i.e. 10-)? I'm quite happy to show off my size 22 dress, so glad I went for mermaid instead of listening to the "plus size should do empire" general line.

Empire makes plus sizes look worse IMO! I'm a chesty size 14 with big shoulders and they make me look pregnant!

Thank you! It was also very MSE - my Vivien of Holloway dress cost £100 and was worn once. Hubby's Vivienne Westwood suit cost £900 and has been worn at least 9 times (probably more, I haven't kept count). Everyone's a winner
