We done got up and done it :) (Married with pics!!)

Cor blimey, what a weekend. (And what a relief now to be married and not have to do any more planning :) )

Thought I'd bung up a couple of photos now (from friends, rather than pro shots). At some point I'll put up some things I learned too - I have a couple of pieces of wisdom to pass on now!!

Ceremony:

A quick toast from my hip flask (home made sloe gin!) after the ceremony :)

Our transport

Having a mosh while my new husband played a few songs with his old band mates - awesome.

And a bit of air guitar (got changed into my bought-for-the-occasion bright red Doc Martens too, brilliant)

Thank you all for all the advice, tips and support over the last year of planning. We saved so much money through this place. The most MSE thing was our wedding night - thanks to Martin's Weekly Email we got two nights for the price of one, which was amazing and we got to relax properly before coming back to reality.

Now bring on the honeymoon next week!!!!

I prefer to think of it as an 'heirloom bouquet'. ;) Actually, my granny did keep calling it my 'memory ball', so that's how I now think of it :D

And I know what you mean sugarwalsh, and thanks, we did!

Not at all! ;) I made an heirloom bouquet (I'll get a better photo of it later). I made it using an old sari and a sphere of dry oasis (the brown one, not the blue) and a bit of old broom handle covered in some ribbon. Then I gathered old and new pieces of jewellery and family trinkets - brooches, lapel pins, tie pins, earrings, lockets - anything that meant something. Some pinned on, others I sewed on using invisible thread. It looked amazing (if I say so myself) and meant a lot to many people. My grandmothers particularly liked it, as it contained many pieces from deceased relatives. I can keep it forever, and pass it on one day (with luck). I think it was my favourite part of my outfit, alongside the jewellery that I wore, which was all gifts.

That's such a wonderful idea!! :T I'm having a normal bouquet, but might ask my mum & MiL2B if they have any trinkets I could use for table decorations or something.

    Thanks!
