I've managed to get my towels dry on the line , I had to double peg them to make sure they didn't end up in next doors garden , got another load on the line :D

MIL is coming later so need to a Sunday lunch at tea time lol

Finished making cushions for dd1s room also made a little hanging decoration from the same fabric, it matches the quilt cover I bought . She doesn't know about it , so hopefully it will all be done before she comes home in 3 weeks ( still need to do some painting )

Off for a cuppa , the sun is out it's lovely :j

    Afternoon All

The weather here is horrible, but on saying that the sun has just made an appearance, I'm sure it will go in again soon. Washing all over the place as I thought it may be a decent day and stripped my bed. Silly me!

Had a knock at the door earlier - a young woman had broken down and asked if we had any coolant which we didn't. She was heading for Spean Bridge which is about a 3 hour drive from here on rural roads so I took her to Half0rds to get some, we managed to fill the radiator and she went off. Poor girl, I had seen the car sat outside when I got up this morning (about 7.30) so she had been sat there till about half 9. Her husband was going to drive down to meet her so she will get home safely. I asked her to phone me when she gets home so I know she's safe.

Cleaned the ovens so they are not to be used before we leave, we have a micro combi oven so we can use that. Had to make another trip out for brill0 pads. I found the manual and never knew that the doors came apart to clean the glass on both sides. I am horrified as they haven't been cleaned for 6 years!!

Tip run done and outdoor shoes and boots sorted, I shall need a rest soon.

Salmon and veggies for tea, eating our way through the freezer so some interesting meals coming up.

Have a good Sunday, take care. XX

    I haven't blown away yet!

It's wet and windy here, but no worse than many other times. Took shoebox gifts to chapel this morning, then dodged the rain to get home dry - when it comes down it is absolute stair rods.

Out and about with DD and planning a cosy afternoon as the wind is building. Stay safe all x

My plan to hide from the world for the rest of the day has gone to pot. OH needs dropped off and picked up from his friends. Dinner alone too! Still gives me time to have a nice bath and time to read in peace! Will pick up bubble bath and something easy for dinner while I am out.

The wind is getting up here. Feels like my little house will blow down! But its survived over 100 years so for so we should be fine!

    Evening,

A bit windy here in the NW but not bad really,at least not yet.I hope everybody further South is ok tonight and tomorrow.DH is just finishing watching the football, then we will eat.Having said that DS2 & DiL2b arent here yet. They have moved into their house, although still quite a lot of stuff here yet.I certainly felt a pang or two when DS was packing his clothes up,which is a bit daft as he's not really been here at night for 9 months or so,only when DGD stays.I suppose they are always your children no matter how old they are :D

Beef and the trimmings tonight and I'm cooking a cake from a recipe in the paper today so I hope its ok.No sign of DS1 but he was staying over at a mates after a night out in Manchester so he's prob had a pizza.

Redruby- I'm thinking of you and your family, and hope the funeral goes as well as it can do tomorrow, with no weather hitches either.

Better check the spuds, have a good evening all x

Just popped back to send big hugs to Redruby and family. Hope everything goes well and I will be thinking of you.

Hope you all stay safe in the storm, it's wet and windy here but not forecast nearly as bad as the south.

    Take care. XX
