• Thanks for the new thread ETO. I've been very lazy and only just getting round to weather proofing my garden.

I was green last week, had 30p in my purse, so must have been £9.70 in total.

Would like to pledge high this week, at £105 as I'm off rocking and a bopping in Cardiff at the weekend. 2 meals out and many drinkidinks are planned. Just got to get through this week at work first.

• Ooooo hope you have a lovely weekend flyinggiraffe. (Wishing you it now as I still have my baby brain and I may forget) Hope this week doesn't drag too much for you. :D

MissE001 - I would keep the other activities separate. But give yourself a budget that you don't want to go over for each one. Then I would keep the weekly budget just for misc spends and try to keep to a minimum.

I now don't include my nails, hair, groceries and petrol as these are pretty much set amounts. So pointless adding to this. And I've decided this is a budget just for the small things I might like to do but not want to spend too much on. Coffee, occasional lunch, maybe a magazine etc.

Hope that makes sense.

Today spent £4.30 from his budget - coffee, and also got two more Xmas presents whilst out. :D

• Welcome along aartisuk :hello: Good luck

This is a great challenge for making you realise how much you spend without realising. I would say the best thing to do from the beginning is to be realistic. There's no point setting a budget of £10 if there is no way of actually achieving it. But it may take time to understand what, how and why you spend. I still get it wrong sometimes. :D

Thanks ETO - that's what I'll do. I know how much I'm planning to spend on the nights out etc.....and will report back here if I need to dip into my weekly budget by going over which should keep me on the straight and narrow :money:

Have a great week everyone

• Plans for this week

Sun - town and coffee - £4.30 :j
Mon - NSD :j
Tues - baby group car parking £2
Weds - NSD
Thurs - baby group NSD
Fri - NSD
Sat - NSD

£4.30 / £25

Lunch now arranged for tomorrow but going two for tenner.

I know I say it every week but I really do need to watch what I spend now. I've been in a bit of denial about how hard it will be going back to work part time money wise. So really need to watch my spends now. I can't reduce my set outgoings anymore than I have (bills etc) so need to watch the spends I have got control over. I can be a bit extravagant sometimes and wasteful. :(
