I am in the process of googling iron rich recipes. Doc has just informed me I am anaemic :o
I am thinking of home made soup with beans and lentils in.
I don't like liver, kidney etc so that's out the window, though I do eat plenty of green veg

spinach?:D.. The A soluble Vit C tablets have extra iron in them, take one in a glass of water each morning. However, you can eat as much iron rich foods as you like but if dont have enough Vit C, it wont absorb it (apparently, I was told by a doc once...).
I hope the pasta in the garage doesnt attract any rodents , I had a bag of rice attacked a couple of years ago, took a couple of weeks to get rid of the little sods, I only keep tinned/bottled in there now.
ooh, didnt know that. oops, may have to bring inside tonight.

Re Uncle Bens free rice deal I found that because there is a multi buy offer i.e 3 for £4 Buy 10 scan 8 free coupons and pay 17p. or just 1 rice 1 coupon

hmm, i must have missed this. will do a little search..
Rice is also £1 in A so you could get a PP (assuming you are doing a T or S shop)

    Ahhhh thanks so much.
I did come across that page whilst googling but didn't click on due to the veggie title.
Some of the recipes look delish.
Think the first on my list is the spicy carrot and lentil soup :)
I do hope you manage to control yours too through food :)

We are still eating the 19p wholewheat pasta must be from couple years ago now. ;)

It has finally gone OOD Sept/Oct 2013. It was one of those things that every time I went in it had been restocked so picked up half dozen bags each time. I think I definitely went overboard, still at least dozen packs left. I can't count them as they are a bit buried but box must be emptier as it is starting to collapse. :rotfl:
  • Logie - My thoughts and prayers for good results are with you.

Has anyone seen Nannylala recently - she was feeling ill a week back?

Floflo - good to see you back but don't let the b.....ds grind you down.

Can I suggest to ALL of you that you don't vote/post anything via your real Facebook account. I discovered a VERY nasty message on, thankfully, a fake facebook account of mine from a few weeks back. Apparently they were reporting my alias to Asda and Tesco as I was encouraging lots of people to commit fraud against them. They mentioned cheese, bisc/choccies and BNI. It had to be someone using this thread.:(

 You know who you are! Get a life! I bet you have partaken of all the glitches I found too!

There are some nasty people on this thread so be aware & don't let them get hold of your true details.

    I actually quite enjoy them.

waiting for OH to bring back my car so online for a bit. There was a lovely insert in DM sunday of 5.2 recipes. If anyone wants a copy I will scan it in later and can email it out. I am going to do 5.2 myself once I have gone through the CD maintenance. Up to 1000 calories from tommorow!!
